You Are Mine

“Miss You”, “Be Mine”, and “Call Me” are some of the messages printed on conversation hearts—the pastel-colored candies that make their appearance for Valentine’s Day.

Those are the love messages that the candy company offers, but what message does God give?

If God stamped sentiments on candy hearts, perhaps one of them would be: “You are Mine”.

In a world where relationships are disposable and a sense of belonging is rare, God says to His children, ”You are Mine”.

Because you are His, He promises to walk with you through every difficult moment, to carry you when you are vulnerable, and to give you strength when you are weary and look to Him in faith.

The good thing is, you can savor His love message every day, all year long!

But now thus says the LORD . . . “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” Isaiah 43:1-2

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Isaiah 40:29
